Summary
The upset the tournament occured in Norman, OK as the 9-seeded Clemson Tigers held off the overall #1 seeded Oklahoma Sooners to win their Rockne Region battle 31-28 even as Sam Bradford threw for 4 TDs. The Tigers now head to Atlanta, GA to face fellow ACC members 4-seeded Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a Sweet Sixteen match-up.The Ohio State Buckeyes prevented an upset by the BYU Cougers in their 3 vs. 6 match-up in the Bryant Region as a 4th quarter FG to give them the victory.

Elsewhere, 2-seeded Penn State and 4-seeded Georgia blasted Mississippi and Florida State in their respective match-ups to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. No other Sweet Sixteen match-up was decided in this session of games.
