NEW YORK-- The Islanders completed a second straight series upset as they took out the favorite, top-seeded '76-77 Canadiens 3-2 in Game 6. The Islanders' Billy Smith had a 20 for 22 performance against the Canadiens' Ken Dryden 33 for 36 performance. The Islanders defense kept the Canadiens in check and they couldn't counter the avalanche of Islanders shots. With the 4 games to 2 series victory, the Islanders will again be the lower seeded team and not have home-ice advantage against either the Flames or Bruins.
