Yesterday, lightning hit a electric tranformer 80-feet from my home taking out my power. The bolt also took out one of my TVs, the cable modem and network card, and damaged a cable adaptor. Thanks to the work of the electric and cable companies I have power and I'm back on the internet but need to replace the network card in my computer.

So for All-Time Playoffs purposes, they'll say a power outage hit the Montreal Forum preventing Game 7 between the '71-72 Bruins and the '76-77 Canadiens from taking place yesterday. But power has been restored...

All-Time Stanley Cup Playoffs Quarterfinals

(1) '76-77 Canadiens 5, (10) '71-72 Bruins 2
MONTREAL-- Whether the extra day off helped or hindered either team is unknown, but the Candiens stormed out to a 4-1 lead after the 1st period and the game was never in doubt. Behind the 25 for 27 performance of Ken Dryden and five individual goal scorers, the Canadiens blasted the Bruins' Gerry Cheever who had a 24 for 29 performance. The Canadiens after sweeping their 1st round series had to battle a tough Bruins team to win the series 4 games to 3. The victory gives the '76-77 Canadiens home-ice advantage against the fifth-seeded '81-82 Islanders in the semifinals and matches the 2nd seeded '88-89 Flames against the third-seeded '38-39 Bruins.
