DETROIT-- The Red Wings' scored twice in the pan of 2:30 in the 1st Period then watched as the Flames self-destructed with penalties to tie the series in Game 4. The Wings' Dominik Hasek was a perfect 23 for 23 in a shutout performance while the Flames' Mike Vernon had an excellent 44 for 46 performance though it wasn't enough. The massive offensive assault by the Wings will mean this series will return to Detroit for Game 6.

MONTREAL-- In a game that saw a combined 136 shots on goal in a little over 122 minutes of play over 3 full periods, 3 full overtimes, and just 2:03 in a fourth the Canadiens won probably the best game of the All-Time Stanley Cup Playoffs to date. Jacques Plante of the Canadiens when 71 for 72 against Frank Brimsek of the Bruins 62 for 64 performance. In what can only be described as a goaltending masterpiece from both netminders, the Canadiens tied the series at 2 games a piece and will return to the Montreal Forum for Game 6.

MIAMI-- The Bears' Walter Payton finally had his moment in the sun, denied him in Super Bowl XX, as he scored the sole touchdown in the game. Neither the Bears' Jim McMahon nor the Packer's Brett Favre where able to truely get their offenses going against the stellar defenses they were facing. It was Payton's 95 yards and 42 receiving was what broke the game for the Bears giving them the victory and the title, all-time Greatest NFL Team.
