MONTREAL-- The Flames self-destructed and were offensively ineffective as they went down 3-0 to the '67'-68 Canadiens. Gump Worsley's 19 for 19 shut out effort was a light day compared to the Flames' Mike Vernon who saved 30 of 32.

OTTAWA-- Luck was not with the Senators as they took a 1-0 lead in Game 3 just 24 seconds into it. Then just a little over a minute into the 3rd Period, the Bruins tied the score. Then throughout the rest of the period and into overtime it was a struggle only to see the Bruins in the game and take a 3-0 series lead on Milt Schmidt's goal near the 5:30 mark. The Bruins Frank Brimsek saved 31 of 32 shots against Clint Benedict's 17 for 19 effort.

PHILADELPHIA-- The Canadien's found their offense and it was Jean Beliveau's hat trick in a 21 minute stretch in the 2nd and 3rd Periods that sealed the game for the '58-59 squad. The Canadien's Jacques Plante had a 29 for 29 shut out against the Flyer's Bernie Parent 18 for 22 effort.

The victory by the Bruins gives them a 3-0 lead in the series with a chance to wrap it up at home. The Oiler's Andy Moog stellar night went downhill in the 3rd Period to finish with a 35 for 38 performance against the Bruins' Cheevers 32 for 34 night.
