Philadelphia- (2) '72 Lakers 131, (3) '67 76ers 125 (Series 1-2)
The '72 Lakers came into Philadelphia with a mission and after 42-25 1st quarter and having a 19 point lead a halftime. But the 76ers came back getting the crowd into it, but the '72 Lakers weren't going to let another 4th quarter led get taken away. But '67 Wilt Chamberlain and Wali Jones got the lead shrunk to 126-125 Lakers at 1:05 left in the game. But the combination of '72 Chamberlain and Gail Goodrich pulled the Lakers away offensively and defensively. The victory means a return trip to Los Angeles for Game 5.
