It's time for the second most anticipated PPV of the entire year, WWE's annual Royal Rumble. Here are my predictions:

30-Man Royal Rumble
There is no clear favorite going in, though I don't get SD now that its on MNTV, I'm going to say that the WWE is going to piss everyone off and Orton wins the title shot at WrestleMania.

ECW Championship
Jack Swagger (c) vs. Matt Hardy
Swagger retains

World Heavyweight Championship Match
John Cena (c) vs. JBL w/Shawn Michaels
Cena retains after Michaels accidentally costs JBL the match.

Women's Championship
Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Melina
Melina wins the belt thanks to some unexpected help.

WWE Championship
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Edge
Jeff keeps the title despite Christian's interference.

Thanks it, see you next month.

It's time for the first PPV of 2009 and it's TNA's Genesis live from Charlotte, NC. Now onto the predictions.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Sting (c) vs. Rhino
No question, Sting retains.

Six-Man Tag Team Match
MEM (Booker T, Kevin Nash, & Scott Steiner) vs. Frontline (A.J. Styles, Brother Devon, & Mick Foley)
For the MEM-Frontline feud to still be viable, the Frontline has to win a Main Event match and it's this match. AJ probably sets up a pin by Mick on one of the MEM members.

Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett
This one is the hardest match to predict on the card, you can see either man winning. But I think this feud ends in the six-sides of steel at Lockdown, so Angle wins.

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match
Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed (c) vs. Beer Money Inc. vs. Abyss & Matt Morgan
Lethal & Creed retain.

TNA X Division Championship Match
Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley
I think Homicide injects himself and wins the belt.

TNA Knockout Championship Match
Awesome Kong (c) vs. ???
Whomever the opponent, Kong retains.

Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Shane Sewell
Sewell wins by DQ.

That's all the card from TNA's website, hope I'm close on some of these.

College Football Playoff

The Rose Bowl National Championship Game (Pasadena, CA)

Southern Cal 20, Florida 6 http://whatifsports.com/ncaafb/boxscore.asp?GameID=852134&nomenu=1

Summary
While not home, it was close enough for the USC Trojans as they stomped the Gators in the Rose Bowl to win the 2008 National Championship, 20-6. Stefan Johnson rushed for 114 yards and 2 TDs to win MVP honors, however it could be said that the vaunted Trojan defense could be co-MVP as they held the Florida running game and thus offense to a standstill. The Trojans third title in the decade gives them title the 'Team of the Decade' to give the first tournament in Division IA significant meaning.

Conference Records
Pac-10 1-0
SEC 0-1
