It's been almost 3 months since I've done a post and so I thought it was time to do so. Basically this is my thoughts on the upcoming WrestleMania XXIII (23). Basically with Triple H off the card because of a quad injury to his right leg and out until most likely Vengeance or SummerSlam (June/August). So the marque match-up for WM23, Cena vs. HHH for the WWE Championship is out of the picture. And now the WWE is fucked because they have so messed up their product that we're looking at the worst WM card since 1997.
Well if the WWE is looking for any ideas this is what I have:
January
--RVD wins the Royal Rumble setting up the ECW Championship Match for WM23 against Lashley.
February
--Bastista vs. Beniot at No Way Out because as the US Champion, Beniot invokes the rule as US Champ he is the #1 Contender.
WrestleMania XXIII from Ford Field, Detroit, Michigan
Main Event WWE Championship & World Heavyweight Championship Unification Match:
John Cena vs. Chris Beniot
Either Batista or Beniot is good here, I would go for Beniot because you can have Cena & Beniot work out a match that is compareable to Savage-Steamboat.
Winner- I prefer Beniot because he's a better fighter and you need a real fighter to establish the title. Cena comes in/out a the heel and gives him a different direction because SuperCena is getting old.
ECW Championship Hardcore Rules Match:
Lashley (c) vs. RVD
So far every match between these two has been inconclusive, this provides a finish and credibility for the winner.
Winner- Lashley
Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker
The merger of RAW & SD! is the main theme of this WM, Shawn needs time off because of injuries and with nothing to do because of DX until HHH comes back he can do what Orton tried to do two years ago, but will have better success. The Undertaker's streak needs another big name on the list to keep it meaning something after having to endure Orton then Mark Henry. Thus you kill two with one.
Winner- The Undertaker
Six-Team WWE Tag Team Championship & World Tag Team Championship Unification Match (Texas Tornado Elimination Rules):
Rated RKO (c) vs. Cryme Time vs. World Greatest Tag Team vs. Kendrick & London (c) vs. Regal & Taylor vs. MNM
To really reestablish the tag team division in the WWE, you need your top tag teams from both RAW & SD! to duke it out. The elimination rules there to ensure that not every team will face off during the match. Edge & Orton will be in singles after WM, but then you need a team from each program. I like Cryme Time/Kendrick & London.
Winner- Cryme Time, because I picked Beniot to be THE World Champion, a team from RAW could become THE World Tag Team Champions. If you have Cena win then Kendrick/London win this match.
The 3rd Annual Money in the Back Ladder Match:
Carlito w/Torrie vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. CM Punk vs. Umaga w/Estrada vs. King Booker w/Sharmell vs. Sabu
Basically this match gives a rising midcarder they're title opportunity between SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble after giving the winner some big time feuds.
Winner- Carlito OR Kennedy OR Punk
Hulk Hogan vs. Khali
Rehash of Hogan/Andre.
Winner- Hogan
United States Title Last Man Standing Match (Tournament Finals):
Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero
Winner- Rey
Bob Holly & Test vs. The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer
Winner- Holly & Test, because for some reason they're getting pushed.
Intercontinental Title Match:
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Kenny Dykstra
Winner- Kenny
Batista vs. MVP
Winner- Batista
Kane wins DVD only 3 brand battle royale.
The RAW & SD! brands merge to form the WWE brand, most likely Sci-Fi could be persuaded to give ECW one more hour to send some wrestlers there, mostly the Cruiserweights.
The WWE brand would appear on 12 PPV (including the Big Four) while ECW 8 (including Big Four)
