Hello everyone, last month in my last post I had my WrestleMania XX predictions I said I'd was very interested in their outcomes because either the WWE going forward or staying in a rut. Well, it turns out the WWE is starting to look forward. I went 7-4-1 in predicting, the four I was wrong on I not really worried about. Two weeks after WrestleMania, the WWE had a draft lottery to shake things up a bit and that means were are some changes to both the RAW and Smackdown! rosters. Brock Lesnar and Goldberg left after WrestleMania, Stone Cold and the WWE couldn't agree on a contract, and Kurt Angle is injured and can't compete right now. So heading into today's WWE Backlash PPV featuring RAW here are my predictions...

World Heavyweight Championship- Chris Benoit (c) vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Triple-H
These three men put on a great match at WrestleMania, from all accounts I've read, and it ended with then champion Triple-H doing the right thing in tapping out to Chris Benoit. Now in Benoit's hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada he's the champion in a Triple Threat Match. I would have prefered to see Benoit and Shawn Michaels go it alone, but given that Triple-H has been doing the right thing lately in putting over other talent I don't mind. This match is simple, Chris Benoit has only been champion for a month after WrestleMania there is no good reason he should lose the title unless Michaels turns heel. Triple-H is going to be going off on another feud soon (see later in predictions) so he's out of the picture. So Benoit retains the title to the cheers of the hometown fans.

Intercontinental Title/Street Fight- Randy Orton (c) vs. Mick Foley
This match will probably finish the Orton-Foley storyline. I personally felt it should have been this match at WrestleMania, but I'm just a lowly Internet fan who watches wrestling and pays for videos & DVDs. Orton's Evolution buddies will be banned from ringside and that means Orton is going it alone. I think Foley will probably get the win to show the younger Orton what it means to be hardcore. Foley then loses the title the next night to an Orton rival to set up a new feud for the youngster or vacates it leading to a match between Orton and someone.

Handicap Match- Christian & Trish Stratus vs. Chris Jericho
I called this one from a mile away at WrestleMania and so right now this is what I see. Jericho is over as a babyface, but needs that extra something to make it stick. So I see Jericho getting revenge including getting shots on Trish after playing possum and Christian tagging her in. But if Trish turns on Christian and Jericho goes back to a heel making Christian a face or if Jericho turns to a heel and he with Christian beat down on Trish...I'LL BE EXTREMELY PISSED OFF AT THE WWE!

EDGE vs. KANE
The draft lottery gave RAW the serves of Edge and the newcomer quickly made his presence felt by spearing GM Eric Bischoff. So Eric pissed off told Kane to handle Edge. Edge coming back from a serious neck injury also broke his left wrist (in real life not storyline) so he has a nice cast. But Edge is destined to be headed for a feud with Triple-H (most likely to claim responsibility for taking Edge out at No Way Out 2003). So Edge has to be on a roll heading for that feud so he goes over on Kane.

SHELTON BENJAMIN vs. RIC FLAIR
This match features the guy the WWE has decided to elevate, Shelton Benjamin who is 3-0 against Triple-H (one victory of which was in a tag team match in which neither was in the outcome). Ric Flair is Triple-H number one guy so he wants to teach Benjamin a lesson. I think Shelton goes over and either goes over Foley tomorrow to win the IC Title, or is put in the title tournament and beats Orton to win it setting up a feud, or defends Orton in a match Bischoff makes to fill the vacancy fast to set up a feud. Shelton is getting the better of Evolution and its a perfect set up for a feud with Orton.

Women's Championship match- Victoria (c) vs. Lita
Victoria goes over in a good match, Lita is just not getting pushed that well in my opinion to be champion.

Tajiri vs. The Coach
The draft lottery brought Tajiri over from Smackdown! and on his first day, he pissed off one of RAW's chief whiners to Eric Bischoff. I think the Coach is going to win to piss Tajiri off and maybe extend this feud in the summer with another wrestler interfering on the Coach's behalf.

There you have my predictions. Have a good day.
